I drove around behind the hypnotist house/office and took a deep breath. I had about 1000 thoughts, ideas, projections going through my mind. Can I be hypnotized? Is this as weird as it seems? How does it work? What can I expect? One thing I knew for certain was that I was ready to stop smoking. Was I crazy to think this would work? Maybe...but it did!!
I entered the door and was taken to the basement, where I was asked a lot of questions. Then we got down to business. I remember staring at a hypno disk, a little device that spins round and round and with some guidance I was then in a state of deep relaxation. I was comfortable, relaxed and very much aware of what was going on around me. When we were finished, I left the office and felt better than I ever did in my life. Happy, relaxed and not a care in the world and not a thought about smoking.
Hypnosis is a process that allows both parts of your mind to receive the same message. It's also like day dreaming or selective thinking. All hypnosis is self hypnosis because you can always accept or reject any thing you are told and you create the whole experience in your mind. I enjoyed it so much that I took classes and have used it for so many other areas of my life.
Whether it's smoking, weight control, habits, stress, pain or so many other things, if you think hypnosis may be something that could contribute to your life, I highly recommend it. Just being that relaxed is so healthy for your body and mind. I would love to talk to you about it and answer any questions. Here's to your health!!!
